Canton Avenue, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's Beechview neighborhood, is the steepest public street in the United States. It has a grade of 37%, meaning that for every 100 ft. traveled in the horizontal, the elevation rises 37 ft. This is the view from the bottom of the hill.
