The Cencom Control Head Mounted and active. The headliner was cut about 1/4" smaller then the head unit itself, which was then pressed through from the outside. It was then secured with a bead of RTV Silicone Adhesive. This allows the unit to be removed for service or replacement without much difficulty, without sacrificing a secure mounting position.
Also, by placing it above the driver and passenger's heads, it is less likely that it will be activated accidentally. Additionally, the passenger can operate the unit without interfering with the driver.
